CINELAB POST PRODUCTION SOLUTIONS

Cinelab has a ever expanding post production department, we have solutions for traditional film editorial in 16mm and 35mm, and a modern all uncompressed Digital post department.

Our Traditional post editorial solutions are a 8 plate Steenbeck flatbed suite with both 16mm head and Super16mm head and 4 track sound.

Our 35mm Kem flatbed is a 8 plate single head with mag sound.

Cinelab has both a Xeon-PC based Avid NLE with 1Tb of storage and Uncompressed Sdi I/O and a Apple G5 Blackmagic Decklink Uncompressed NLE with 500Gb of storage.

Uncompressed Direct 10bit SDI capture is a no-cost service here at Cinelab, we can transfer 8mm, 16mm, 35mm both positive and negative with optical or mag sound direct to tape and Disk simultaneously. Sep-mag is also no problem as we have a magnatech multi track sound reader available in Telecine 1 or 2.

Both Telecine suites are equipped with Aaton Keylink keycode reading systems Telecine 1 is full 10 btit SDI equipped with no quality loss for Keycode Xfer or VITC insertion.

Cinelab’s digital post has all of the tools necessary to prepare your short film or feature for negative cutting and either optical’s or Digital Intermediate for 35mm release. Working with several partners we can arrange negative cutting and HD or 2k scanning.

We also have all of the tools necessary to prep files for a 35mm film recording wether originated on DV or 2K DPX or Cineon files.

DVD creation and Mpeg2 or web file creation at the highest quality level is available and working relationships with several mastering houses can bring you DVD project to completion successfully.

Videotape preservation and Transfer for archival are services we regularly provide and if you have a preservation or library project we are happy to help you through the whole process from selecting formats to equipment.
